No they don't come with any of the hardware to hang them up. Most come with the chain and swivel though.

out of curiosity, how hard is it to set up a heavy bag, say in your basement?

not hard at all. once you find the right hardware to mount it, you just gotta find a sturdy spot to put it. then its up. if you have a garage or somewhere like that to put it, id recommend it over the basement. if its in your basement it will most likely rattle the house a bit.
