In my city they had the competition to be in the Olympic trials I think it was. I didn't get a chance to go but all the top fighters were supposedly going to fight at this event for not just California but other states.

No that tourn if you are talking about the one in Oxnard, was a western reg, You had to win that then step up to a semi final tourn to even be considered. If you have a regional under your belt you can still get on the team.

Where the hell is Punch Drunk when you need em? I think and I am not 100% sure, but I think you need 5 fights before you can move up. And the next division isn't much more than a lot of the same ****. Brawlers like yourself have a hard time. Amateur rules arn't set up for a puncher. They are set up for skilled boxers to suceed. And thats regardless of the class. Open class has more national attention, Of course. and If you are trying to make a name for yourself, winning those tournements are helpfull. Not just competing, but winning them. Otherwise Its not any better than fighting any other class.
So if you think you can beat the best of open class at your weight, I mean know you can. Then you could make that move, but I still think you need 5 fights to move up. I need that rule to be cleared up for me.

**** that man, go pro man. I still have alot of weight to lose before competing, but at the most I'd only want like 10 amateur fights. Amateurs are gay.
