I had my first boxing yesterday and I have to say that I enjoyed it. Even though the exercises were wearing me out, I still felt good. I didn't let it discourage because it was the first time I ever stepped in a boxing gym. I learned alot from that one lesson and gained a new found respect for boxers. I realized its not a game and you have to work real hard if you look to compete. I just wanted to share my experience. I plan to go back today even though I'm sore, but hey no pain no gain. I plan to go 5 days a week Monday-Friday and rest on weekends. I hope that after 6 months up to a year of hard work I'll be ready to start competing as an amateur.
