    Calorie Intake

    This question may be kind of vague....but does anyone think they can suggest to me how many calories I should be eating each day? I have a hard time telling what is too much and whats too little :/ I am looking to cut some fat off my midsection btw, so keep that in mind if you think you can help

    18 years old male
    5'7" 153lbs
    lift weights for 30-60 min a day 5 days a week
    30 minutes of cardio excercise a day 6 days a week usually burning off anywhere from 250-350 calories a day.

    2600 to 3000 should be enough for you
    try getting something like
    35% of protein
    50% carbs
    15% fats

    when you do the conversion to grams remember that 1 gram of protein, has 4 calories, so does a gram of carbs,
    but when it comes to fat it has 9 calories per gram.

    Alcohol has 7 cals per gram but try to avoid it hahaha

      i think 2600-3000 may be a bit high for someone whos 5'7 and looking to LOSE weight.
      you could go down to 2000-2400 imo, but maybe people would disagree

        I don't even count mine and never have. I'm in pretty good shape just by being disciplined in what I eat, how much I eat and how often I eat. Keep an eye on your fat intake, drink lots of water (which can ease hunger pangs), eat often but small amounts, get lots of fruit & veg into your system. Make yourself up a diet sheet and stick to it.
