The importance is in this order. Diet/Exercise/Consistency. Focus on exercises known to burn fat all over the body such as squats, pull-ups and other exercises that focus on major muscle groups.

Every exercise will burn fat from every area, you can't spot reduce fat. This is why you have to be low body fat% as in males the stomach is the last place to lose fat, where with women it's the ass. So step up the cardio, get enough protein in your diet and do a range of ab exercises not just crunches every day. Then you will see results.

Man you can do as many sit ups and crunches and have the best diet and still not have a six pack. It is the way you are built... I have a guy at my gym, extremely fit and good diet strong abs and he doesn't have a six pack. It is just the way your built. You could see your abs after a while but not everyone has the perfect six pack mate.

he needs to run.. eating less just lowers the calories and sit-ups just increase the size of the muscle...

he needs to Eat correctly to have enough energy to work out correctly... just eating less will only lower his energy... running will burn the calories and work the muscles....the eating right will allow the body to use the fat for energy instead of being tired...

Have to say, I totally agree with Cat. I only noticed my abs starting to appear once I had disciplined myself to running 3 times a week.

First you need to build a good 6 pack and then cut weight to make sure the six pack is visible. So this is what you have to do , train for a month wheightlifting, crunches,... building muslce. When you are building muscle you have to eat a lot so make sure you eat arround 3000-3500 kcal a day. and then after a month you will have built a sixpack. Then all you have to do is burn the fat so your sixpack is visible , during this time you will have to do lots of cardio and eating 2000-2500 kcal a day.

Don't start now with eating less and doing lots of cardio cause then you will not build any muscle, your abs will get stronger but you wont get a nice six pack.
