What are your boxing gym nicknames?

My name is nuage which means cloud because the frenchies in my gym can't can't pronounce my name.

I call this kid at my gym , K.I which stands for killer instinct because when he gets mad his eyes get really narrow and he tries to KO people even when sparring with 11 year olds.

I had a trainer and I gave him the nickname that everyone calls him by now more than his real name. I called him big pappa because he was a big chubby black guy. he didn;t mind at first but when all the new kids started hearing me call him big pappa they thought that was his name and started calling him that too.

what are your nicknames or funny nicknames you made for your mates in the gym for funny reasons.

I didn't have a nickname. Only nickname I had was when I was in that Cadet Corps when I was like 11. My nickname was "Monster ****" lol no joke.

Only other one I've had is "Vinny", because it's a natural offshoot of my name "Vincent."

When I first started way back when I was so skinny that when ever I showed up for the weigh-ins all the trainers would look at the skinny white kid with a bad hair cut and run over trying to line a fight. So it was Greg Owens who nick named me "The wimp". They learned that I was there to fight and I was winning most, the fight proposals fell off a bit.

Later when I wanted to turn pro I called Jackie Kallen, who had been working out of our gym with her first pro fighter, and she asked me if I had a nick name. "The Wimp" had long since fallen off but I wanted something on my belt line of my trunks so I said "Rockin' Robbie D". And so it was.......................Rockin'

Throwing with experienced and succesfull fighters will help but you must realize that they were or must have been just playing with you. You were3 going to war but they were probably just practicing on there basics with you.

One thing, ever hear of shawn Daughtry, he was from NY and I fought him at the pal national back in the day. He was good man.................Rockin'
