    really need help !!!!!

    hi

    i was wondering if you could help me im 17 and i weigh about 12 stone and i am 5 foot 9 i need to lose atleast 12 to 14 pounds in about 6 to 7 weeks before summer and boxing really inrtrests me and ive heard its great for getting into shape i have now bought a bag and gloves and jump rope but im a bit stuck on what workouts to do like i need a set weekly work out and i was wondering if you could help me

    Is there no boxing clubs around your area ?
    Personally i would say a club would be best, even if its thai boxing or kick boxing, because they tend to push you harder than you'll push yourself.
    But as far as losing weight goes, i'd say running and intense skipping, basically cardio work.
    Getting into shape, your best with the good old sit ups/crunches, push ups, pull ups etc. first of all.
    To lose that weight in that amount of time, you need to be running at least 3 or 4 times a week, working up a sweat.

    But trust me, you'll never lose the weight if you dont eat right, look up boxing diets on google to give you some ideas

    This is all my oppinion btw, people may give mixed answers back to this so its down to what you want/are willing to do.

      in my opinion if all you wanted to do was lose 12-17lbs in 4-6 weeks then just hit the road. it would take you too long to learn the basics to get a worthy workout. you could always just punch your self out like crazy but thats not helping anyone. think of this road work as your step into the right direction for boxing training. if you want to learn the basics along the way while losing weight then do that. i would suggest jog atleast 4.8km+ 3 days+ a week and youll lose the weight like its nothing unless your like 10% body fat. do the road work as your main work like is aid 3+ days a week and then do your basic training on the side. good luck
