I think his weight gain argument is flawed though. He had to put metal in his pockets just to make weight at the lower weight classes. Meaning, he was under weight with the room to grow. He accomplished what he did at the lighter weights mostly due to easier competition while his style was just raw...

Isn't that how it goes though? Typically the person on it wants to throw the attention as far away from themselves as possible. Who better than to the man that was dominating the P4P lists and looking more impressive against equal opponents that was occupying your space? Receiving much more love than...

  • Barrera 1 is his best win. <- This just may have been it. He was relatively unknown and came in against one of the top P4P fighters in the world and brutalized him for 11 rds. I mean it was shocking what people witnessed. Barrera looked hopeless and helpless with zero answers to Pacquiao's speed...

  • I think it's underrated, but he honestly did more to put himself in the situation. I don't think it has anything to do with the Pac loss. That fight was rather close even if it didn't really look it to me.

For me, the lack of fighting often and staying out of the game is what really hurt...

  • Turki is doing it all wrong with telling fighter what they get if they get past "X" opponent or that even, once you finish facing opponent, "X", you still get the next big fight that comes with a massive paycheck.. He's completely f**kin up their mentality going into their fights....

  • The chatter is people DKSAB. Usyk's career and achievements are already cemented. He's done it all and anything else is a bonus. I'm honestly shocked he decided to take this fight when he really didn't have to. I guess that goes to show the kind of man Usyk is. Rather than take a rather easy fight for...

People still booty hurt that an Asian goes down as one of the greatest boxers ever in a mostly black dominant sport. Yet those same black folks probably have a shrine for Bruce Lee. The hypocrisy is pathetic.

People want to say Pac was on roids, yet then downplay all his wins by, well,...

  • The WBC will make it happen. They'll come up with some handicap belt and allow Jake to fight for it. They just love coming up with belts.

  • This is wild to see. I made a thread like a year or two ago asking what happened to him? I don't think he ever fought since then and here he is. Crazy. Talk about being put on a shelf and wasting away your prime years. I don't think he's going to go too far now and shown some holes in one of his last...

  • He is grown, but he also sees the money or is hearing what kind of crazy money can be made if he can get passed Barrios. It had to excite him no doubt. Seeing Manny's mentality, he seems to cherish challenges continuously, whether in boxing or outside. Dude would always be playing pool or basketball...

Well, this is true and probably why Fury looked more crud pie than you would have expected for Ngannou and who knows, it could of assisted Usyk with his two wins. I'm not saying he didn't put on a master class, because he did, however no way was Fury the same after going 3 fights with Wilder where he...

  • It means he's trying to line up a Saudi fight with Turki that can get him some of those over paid checks that fighters are seeing nowadays. I bet you it's not even Manny's idea for this whole thing but his manager. The dude is seeing green and missing those older Manny checks. He sees an opportunity...

  • Probably just because of the money involved in the UK and that most of the call outs or opponents AJ were facing were in the UK.

Wilder doesn't have as much money involved and in the past, the idea of just facing him was frightening even to collect the check. It was like you knew you would...

  • I actually hate that notion as well. As if one fighter represents the entire sport. What then is the meaning behind that? That when he fights, we MUST tune in because this is boxing? F that. I know there are casuals and perhaps that is the way they think, but there is so much missed if you think this...

I forget whose quote this was but it was something to the effect of, "he had one trick, but it was a hell of trick". This may or may not actually been directed towards Deontay as well, lol.

Well, some could argue that Fury took Ngannou lightly. Fury trained his brains out for Wilder because he knew what Wilder was capable of if he had a moment of lapse.

I just think Wilder gets too much hate around here when he was doing what folks that love heavyweights do, get KOs. If you...

To be fair, he nearly KO'd Fury in their first fight and gave him a tough fight in their 3rd encounter. Having dropped Fury 3 times in 3 fights. Someone as bad as everyone's stating should not be dropping Fury and nearly KOing him, right?

That said, his aura of invincibility vanished after...
