He doesn't have to look at a 4000 series MY GUY. PS GPU's are like 1080 level dogwank which is 6 years old an 4+ years outdated. PS tech is quite a bit behind XB anyway with 2.2ghz range and the heat kills tflop performance.

RAM and SSD has little to do with a good rig. It's all about CPU & GPU andf 1k is going to get him an extremely bottom of the line rig.

For his price point, something with the power of the XSX I think is decent.

Not a pc gamer really but if that's true then why not just get a XSX for half the price?

I want a decent gaming desktop for around a $1k budget. this was supposed to be a christmas gift but now it's gonna have to wait for a bday gift instead.

To build a good gaming PC, you should choose a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics card,
a processor Core i7 11700K or better
And its RAM must be at least 32 GB.

I would do what I did, have one built. Buy a case and pick your own parts. It will last you much longer than a PC already put together.

Otherwise, Lenovo or ASUS.

i would but i dont know anything about computers. i want one that is complete already. i dont mind paying a little extra. I just want a good computer for online gaming.

It's all a load of rubbish anyway the human eye can't process more clarity than 1440p and 120hz best video game I've played is reality. You can play a new level everyday it's riveting.
