    The Mass Effect Trilogy

I say trilogy....but I cant seem to play the first part, due to some general protection error thing. Anyhow, ME 2 and 3 are the best in their genres. Wouldn't you agree? This is an epic adventure, and well worth playing over again.

ME3 ****ed the series up for me. I'll still play it, but I'm not as much a fan as I used to be.

I have a question about the series.

Do you need to play the trilogy or does ME1 work as a stand-alone game. By that I mean does 1 leave you with an ending/conclusion or on a cliffhanger?

The end of part 1 can be stand alone. The end is very clear. But you also are left with a sense that it could definitely contain a sequel.

Funny enough, the beginning of part 2 takes you far away from the part 1 story line. Part 1 was also far more original as far as weapons and powers was concerned.

They all kind of leave on a cliffhanger ending but they still all work as stand alone games, they're all incredible, despite the bad rep 3 gets because of the ending it's still a pretty ****in amazing game up too that point, must plays imo.

            Another series I've not completed.

I bought and beat the first once back in the day and loved every minute of it. Then I missed out on the two sequels when my 360 **** the bed, so I never got to finish 'em.

I see they've come out with a trilogy pack recently, so that's definitely on my list.

the whole trilogy is a must play. The game developers advertise it as, 'every decision you make throughout the three games will have an impact on your ending'. Unfortunately, that bit didnt live up to its promise, but hey, we got a lovely ride throughout.

3's ending is a ****ing disgrace.

It's bad, I mean REAL bad.

They "altered" it, a little after there was mass backlash against it, but it still sucks, just "less"

But yeah it pissed me off, it was like a slap in the face after I put like 100+ hours into that series.

Loved the series, got 2 and 3 the day they came out because I loved the first one so much. I was so horribly disappointed with the 3rd one.
