That's when it was 100% free, they need to put Netflix behind their paywall, if they want to compete with teh hype job that is Xbox Live.

My girlfriend has a windows phone.. it looks exactly the same

I will go for ps4 anyway..

Had ps1.2.3.. and never had problems.. always enjoyed them.. and glad they will ship with mics because that was one problem with ps3 community.. so quiet..

I was gonna get the ps4 when it came out.. but honestly there is not many games which make me want to part with the cash atm.. the watch dogs game was interesting.. but is pushed back.. and dragon age 3 but thats not out till next year...

I read that Mexico gets Fifa 14 free with teh XBone. Mircosoft is afraid Mexico might become PS4Land?

PSN was hampered through the PS3 having no spare ram to add things like cross game chat, the chat was part of the game not the OS on PS3. Won't be a problem on PS4. The quality of the servers seemed the same on both PSN and XBL to me, but Sony have spent a lot of money upgrading and adding servers which is why it's gone subscription. One thing that can't be disputed is that PSN gives the much better free games which is a added bonus.

Which is fantastic news for Sony fans, but I was comparing the online services of the 360 to the PS3. I mean ****, you could use a headset to communicate via voice on the original Xbox. It's nothing new for Xbox users.

You must've been high when you were playing then. Either that or you've not played both consoles online often enough to notice the difference.

I don't know how PSN runs nowadays, but before my original PS3 YLOD'd on me I played it quite a bit, but rarely ever online because I was so used to how reliable XBL was and frankly, PSN was **** by comparison. I was constantly experiencing lag and dropping out of games, plus the lack of constant voice communication was a big drawback, as well.

That's all current gen complaints, though.

We'll see how Sony's online service works this time around now that they're actually putting some serious cash into it.

We already know that XBL won't experience any problems on the server front, with MS offering up another 300,000 + dedicated servers.

And yeah, PS+ gives way better free games thus far. "Games with Gold" is a ****ing insult, quite frankly. But on the flipside, with GWG you actually own the titles forever, whereas with PS+ once your subscription lapses you can't access them. So it's more like renting on PS+.

Still, I'd much rather have access to better titles that I'm basically renting for free than **** games (aside from a few decent GWG releases) I can own forever.

One thing I'd really like to see next generation (which could lead to me jumping onboard sooner than expected) would be competitive pricing for digital releases.

I'm not a big fan of going digital due to being a collector and preferring the collection of physical copies instead of digital licenses, and there are millions of other gamers out there who share the same opinion. One thing Sony and MS could do to change that would be to competitively price their digital content with that of retailers like Gamestop.

I realize that it would cost them tons of money to price match gamestop on every title, and I'm not asking for that, at all. I'd just like to see a better value for my dollar as far as digital releases go : It's really difficult for either company to encourage people to make the switch to digital when you see games that are 3-5 years old in their stores still selling at MSRP - These are all titles you can get at your local gamestop for half, if not less than half of that.

I added some money to my XBL account the other day in anticipation of digital black Friday sales, and curiosity got the better of me so I was just browsing around looking for discounted games, and it was really disappointing to see games that old still selling digital copies for $20-$25.

Bear in mind that I was deliberately searching for cheap titles. I just wanted something quick to play to hold me over until black Friday, but the pricing on every title I looked at made me shake my head.

So yeah : Price your **** more comparatively, guys.
