In my earlier years there was a kid living up the street who ended up doing something with the services, I'm not certain of who or what. He was a wrestler on our High School team and I believe that he played football as well. He became a cop and has been doing good for my country ever since. I saw him at the reunion. I whole heartedly thanked him for helping to keep my county, my state and my country safe.

As a black man, I know my opinion is in the minority within the black community when it comes to law enforcement, and a lot of my people are scared of speaking up in fear of being called derogatory names by their own people, but I am not afraid to voice my opinion.

With that being said, I completely sympathize with this country's law enforcement. Knowing the bul**** they have to put up with every single moment that they are on the job, I certainly do not envy their profession.

Unfortunately, a large number of people in my community see them as the enemy which is pure ignorance. Law enforcement is put in place to protect and serve the public. If so many of my people wouldn't break the law, they wouldn't have anyhing to fear. It is open season on policemen that are just trying to do their jobs and go home to their families just like every other hard-working contributing member of society.

Sadly, we see threats every day from low-life scum rappers as well as other bottom-feeders of our community promoting violence against law enforcement and the youth in my community as well as older folks that are just eating it up.

Scum such as Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown and George Floyd deserved every bit of what they got. If they hadn't been breaking the law in the first place, they wouldn't be put in that situation. They did it to themselves and there comes a time in a man's life where are you have to take responsibility for your actions. No one in this world is going to hold your hand. You have to stand up on your own two feet.

Same reason any era became cops in the first place. Failed at any job worth half a **** but didn't want to be treated with the same amount of respect as other jobs that only require a diploma or a drop-out equivalent.
