    Is this illegal?

If somebody you live with goes to the post office and tells them you moved and to stop sending you mail.

    and they actually stop.

a month goes by until you find out why you're not getting any mail.

    is this illegal?

Saw this scenario on a Netflix show.

    Any lawyers here?

That is an interesting question. Another question would be if the US Postal service can legally act upon such a request?

I dont know if its illegal but the post office would be ****** to follow the request. If thats the case anyone could know your name and address and pretty much ruin your life by having bills, payments or any other documents stop coming. I'm not a lawyer nor do i work at the post office but I'm pretty sure the person themselves have to do it and verify their new address or something.

      P.S sounds like a ****** show.

I was living in an apartment for two years and some random guys mail would come to us for all two years. It would stuff our mail box and we would just box his **** and always be trying to find him online but he had no online presence. I wonder if someone pulled this nasty trick on him. He must be a bum by now.

willful obstruction with the delivery of the mail?
I think the case could be made.
