Who the fkk creates a vaccine in less than year??????? It's supposed to take years, not months.

Rushed out the vaccine and tells everyone it's 100% safe.

We all know there will be casualties when it comes to viruses. That's nothing new. People will die from it. So there are people dying from Covid..... AND???????? The news articles love bringing up all of these statistics about covid casualties but these deceitful *******s NEVER TALK ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT WERE INFECTED AND SURVIVED AND ARE BACK TO THEIR NORMAL EVERYDAY LIVES.

So I'm weighing a known or approximately known risk - and in my case it ain't an insignificant one even if it is relativewly low - against a future unknown risk which may or may not ever materialise. If the numbers add up for me then fuck what anyone else thinks... and that's even before I take into account the social responsibility angle which tells me I'm both less likelty to spread the disease to others and less likely to use much needed healthcare resources if I'm vaccinated.

So if I catch COVID unvaccinated given my preexisting lung scarring I got maybe a 1 in 5 chance of hospitalisation or serious illness which could very well result in further lung damage which could potentially be debilitating in the long term. And believe me having suffered acute respiratory distress before I can guarantee it's something I wouldn't wish on anyone, thrashing about trying to get air into your lungs and emergency intubation is no joke man - like drowning on land - even if you don't die from it. On top of that I'd likely have maybe a 1% or even higher chance of death.... not high, but not trivial either, and whilst my own mortality ain't really an issue for me I got two growing sons and that's a responsibility I got no intention of taking a chance on.

They have been working on a vaccine since SARS, but with the advance in technology the entire world pulled its resources to create a vaccine quickly.

Sure, millions have survived COVID and that's a good thing, but don't forget that in Italy alone over 130,000 people died.
