Yup.... I was raised with pets and so are my daughters,practically have a farm now. I consider it child abuse if you don't allow your kids to feel that affection and love from atleast a dog lol. Animal loving people are usually great people in general.

My dog is my favourite living thing . Don’t tell my wife. When the dog was young she was a little **** for sure , but now that she is 9 she is an awesome companion on hikes and basically everywhere. Get a dog they make you a better person.

Children do the best when they learn to negotiate their own feelings with animals... they learn to be fair and kind. Also, being around dogs that lick them, dirt, with various organisms, plants, make their immune systems function and grow optimally. My boys were raised with Dogs, Cats, Guini Pigs, Lizards... and BTW people may laugh, but lizards can be very affectionate and loved by a family. "Gieco" may he rest in peace kissed, looked forward to human contact, etc.

Dogs are family in my house... YOu could offer me a top floor 5th avenue penthouse for free, provided I give my dogs away and it would be the same in my mind as asking me to give my wife and kids away... I would sooner be homeless.

Absolutely,our home is the same way. My daughter's have a rule for our dogs..if it's over 90deg or under 70deg they get to come into the house n lounge lol.

They have a few snakes and I have 2 ambilobe panther chameleons myself and youre right,you built a bond with them and care for them like every other animal we have.They practically jump on me as soon as I open thier cages to chill out in our living room. Got dogs,cats,birds,pigs,chickens,snakes,chameleons,gu inea pigs,hamsters,fishes.

Now they want me to build them a little pond so they can have koi's and sliders....
