To be fair, the firing of Megyn wasn't really about that as much as it was about the big money she was making without bringing in the audience numbers to justify it. She still got paid, but they decided to cut their losses.

I think all of this firing nonsense is ridiculous and unacceptable. But I also feel there needs to be a set standard, and there cannot be a double standard when it comes to enforcing these social justice violations. Lots of other hosts and celebs have been fired or cancelled for things they said decades prior--often in private. One wrong tweet can end a career and possibly result in lawsuits. Their earnings or ratings power should not factor into that, it's either wrong enough on it's own or it isn't.
