Just like boxing, a young person trying to live his/her life to the fullest while doing what made him/her feel most alive. There are many dangers in both surfing and boxing. I accepted that danger and just pushed my way through with the boxing. I was not anticipating my mind needing to be coherent enough to tend to a child. It used to be as long as I was boxing I was fine, my mind was simply an after thought. Until a kid came in to the picture.
