Since Sudan was / is at war, and many of their poeple are starving in the heat of the desert, I think yes many of their player were packing.

Although I am no basketball guy the guard mobility and lack of defense / hustle away from the rim are areas that teams can have success with. And the shooting of team USA from the three point line isn't great as a team. This team barely beat South Sudan by a point! It is a good thing Sudan didn't play a half court game and slow things down once they had a double digit lead.
