    I don’t say an indy win on an oval track is the greatest of sporting achievements, but it’s definitely among the bravest.

    I remember an indy driver being interviewed after a race at Texas Motor Speedway,
    and his first words were: “I survived this year too”.

    Winning an indy race at a track like the one in Texas is a double achievement: the
    victory itself, and that you escaped the track with your body still intact.
