I hope it doesn’t come to light he was involved in any pedophile scandals or the like. That would be terrible.

Good to see America get its 1st pope. Hopefully he does good things.

I didn’t know anything about him. I read up and found out he was American and he’s the Trump people have issues with him. That is why I added the edit.

Not sure what he will do for the Catholic Church while in power. At this point the pope just seems to be a benign symbol or faith or politics. The last pope overstepped his boundaries and I can’t recall anything truly noteworthy to his credit. Pope seems more like British royalty, a wealthy figurehead with no real authority.
