I love that part of town, lol. I usually am around the Haight area, near the park. Our place is in NOPA...Or what we old timers call the Western Addition.

I am waiting until things start up again, does it look to you like things are getting any bit back to normal? My partner, is also out of the area at the moment lol.

Ive been busy working like a mad mad. Im working remotely, finally. Ill post from time to time. PB32 has me on ignore, slobberts cleaned out all the old posters, in her silly mind.
Brother Z! How are you? Did you get some financial relief? In Louisiana you would ask for a "Poorboy." In New Orleans proper? You might ask for a Muffalato as well... A very very tough sandwich to make well in my opinion. The Olive spread tends to be too salty if not done correct. Hope you landed on your feet brother. I will be back East in a about 3 weeks.

I have a lot on my plate. Have to move the family back West.

It is one of the best places in the City, hit me up when you decide, I'll come have a slice with ya.

As for getting back to normal, it's still a Twilight zone ghost town. I live a couple blocks from the Wharf and it's so strange seeing it empty. Haven't had a music gig in months, don't know when bars & clubs will reopen, still pretty locked down right now.

I can't even get out on a boat to fish or do some surf casting cause the beaches are closed off.

It's been tough for Cali outdoor types that aren't homebodies.

Ali Otis is good. I miss the bay, especially the mission district!

Yeah, I pulled outta that nose dive. I thought Id go under for sure, but I got a loan and now my place is being built, people are suffering here badly.

My wife and I are buying locally, more expensive, but ok.

All kinds of farmers need the gov to lend them money.

Rich people are scooping up bargains.

I never tried that sandwich. Im interested.

Glad to hear it! You seem like a guy who lands on his feet... Mufalatas are loved by some... They are a nice sandwich by all accounts. The trick to making them, is to use Olives with a low salt content. Also you have to get the round bread they are served on and I don't know where to get that.

I bet knowing Japan, that some crazy guy has an authentic sandwich shop and might even make a Mufalata.
