What are some things that would improve a homeless person's life?

So every day on the way home, there's this homeless old lady that sleeps on the side of the road. She's been there for years.

Just now as I was driving past her, I thought... ****... why don't I buy her something to help her out?

I don't mean like food or cigarettes or something because that's going to run out... I mean something that would like improve her life in some way.

I thought... if I was a homeless person what could I use, and I couldn't think of ****ing anything.

I thought about a thermos, but she already has plastic bottles that she collects water in, and she can't heat water anyway. I thought about a foldable chair or cot, but that's too cumbersome and she already has a bunch of stuff she's lugging around.

Any ideas? Like some cool shlt I could order on amazon that would make life easier or more comfortable for her. That she doesn't need to charge or anything. Unless it's solar or crankable.

Tent, blanket, tarpaulin to keep the rain off your campsite, flashlight, lighters to make fire, backpack, cheap cell phone with prepaid service, (they can charge it at mcdonalds or what not) tupperware containers to store food or valuables in...these can easily be hidden so people wont find the goods while the homeless person is out and about, if there is a public transit system you could maybe buy them a monthly pass...a huge problem I think many homeless people have is they may not even have a photo ID or social security card or birth certificate. Many people scorn homeless people and ask "why dont they just get a job?" It is almost impossible to get a legal job without the proper documents. If you can help that person to get those documents you might help them turn their lives around in a major way....there are all sorts of ways to help the homeless...If you're homeless you gotta travel light. I imagine many homeless folks have a "campsite" or some sort of homebase. The challenge is to find a safe secure place to store your goods while you are away from camp

We have a famous/legendary homeless person here in Porterville (central Cali) we call....Pacquaio.....yep, the boxer, ya see he is filipino. He's in his late 20's, looks to be in great shape and does back flips and hand stands, all kinds of kicks and punchs as he pushs his cart around which is always full of junk. He goes shirtless most the time, think Bruce Lee.

I did talk to him once, we both showed up at the recycle place....

me.....see ya around town a lot, where do you stay?
Pac....(he looked me right in the eyes)....I stay with friends where do you stay?

I just smiled, the guy had me.

        Ok, the question...

I offer these people a job, a weekly job. I have enough work around here where a day a week would work. Worth about 50 bucks a week to me. If too old, then I buy them whatever they need within reason, yep, would simply pull over and ask them.

i made a similar thread before.. buy her a one year gym membership! lol..

nah, but if you really wanna help her out, buy her a sleeping bag, a stainless steel water bottle, portable small cooking grill, and some socks and undies!!!
