What's friggin nuts is in that race with M5 i had, it was a young kid and he wrecked out, totalling the M5. He was ok though, I even pulled a U-turn and checked on him.
(Then I took off before the cops arrived since no one was injured).

Sucker had paper plates on it, i kid you not.

I went online to see how they performed on the street, as i was winning when he crashed and that surprised me.

I was lucky there, as had we been side by side or him ahead, he would have hit me too when he lost it.

He pinballed off both curbs across 3 lanes of traffic.

I was up to about 60 to 70 when he lost it.

I have 4.10 gears and had just hit 3rd.

My buddy, who was watching him, said he started to fishtail shortly after we launched, but he didnt get off it and the rear end come out from under him and it was over.

We had just had a go of it from about 45, and I had gotten my ass kicked.

But my car is built for drag racing, not roll racing so I was dying to run him from a dig. I did much better.

I was on a car forum once and some 18 year old kid who posted constantly about his BMW M5 and the racing, etc he did in it.

He all the sudden quit posting.

Sure enough, a couple days later they get the news 4 kids were killed when an M5 that was owned by the father of one of the kids went airborne and hit a tree in the city the forum kid was from.

It was that kid and 3 of his friends.

Turned out they'd broke into property John Travolta owned with an airstrip on it and were racing the car on the airstrip when they lost control.

You just never know, but I hope your friend is ok.
