    DALLAS (August 5, 2010)

MORE SMACK FROM SONNEN - WHILE TITO SLAMS HAMILL'S HANDICAP - TOMORROW NIGHT ON HDNET'S "INSIDE MMA"

The insults fly tomorrow night on HDNet, Friday, August 6 at 9:00 p.m. ET

WHAT: On this week's "Inside MMA," Tito Ortiz reminds fans why he's the original bad boy of MMA with his comments about his future opponent Matt "The Hammer" Hamill. In a bizarre statement, Ortiz said that Hamill has no equilibrium because, "he's deaf so he has a soft head and you hit him with more and more shots." Hamill, who is deaf, trained under Ortiz on Season 3 of "The Ultimate Fighter," and will face him at UFC 121 in October. Ortiz tells Kenny Rice and Bas Rutten that Hamill has been, "...babied his whole life coming from being deaf. He's gonna be babied after, when I knock him out and look for a little snuggle." Also on the program, in an exclusive interview with Ron Kruck, Chael Sonnen says that Anderson Silva is "not the first cheater I've dealt with." Sonnen, who has had a lot to say about this upcoming bout in the last few weeks, told Kruck that Silva is, "not the first guy who discovered he can soak himself in baby oil before he walks to the ring." This week's panel also features outspoken Bellator title challenger Joe Warren facing his more soft-spoken opponent, Featherweight champion Joe Soto. Warren may win the panel's "war of words" but, Soto calmly tells Kenny and Bas, "he can't knock me out."

Never thought Tito would stoop to a new low, badmouthing the handicap. I know Hamill is a fighter who isn't helpless and he knows the kind of business he is in, but what makes those comments worse is that Tito coached Hamill all the way to winning the Ultimate Fighter. Hamill looked up to Tito since he was his coach. Tito praised Hamill constantly.

I don't really think Tito believes what he is saying and he is doing his best to promote the fight, but he's doing it at the expense of a deaf man, who Tito himself helped out to get Hamill where he is today.

I really thought Tito was cleaning up his bad boy image, but he's managed to dig a deeper grave for himself. I was really rooting for Tito in this fight but now, I hope Hamill kicks him on the head like he did to Munoz.

I think they trained after the show as well. The only way Tito stoops any lower is if he makes fun of the way Hamill talks, which is not below him.

Can't wait to hear Tito's excuse when he loses:

"Ouch, my back is hurting and my skull is fractured again. Hamill's deafness is contagious so I couldn't hear my own back cracking, so I re-injured it."

I hate Tito, but this is just fight hype. Yes its still low even if its just for hype but I'm pretty sure that Tito informed Hamill in advance that he was gonna do this. No way he would do this without giving Hamill the heads up first.

I hope that's true, but then again that actually pisses even more. This isn't WWE.

What's worse: a heartless bastard who bashes the handicap, or a phony who pretends to bash the handicap so you can spend your hard earn dollars to watch his fight, knowing he's way past his prime?

does it really matter? I don't understand people's problem with fight hype. if you don't like it or believe it, who cares. The fight is still gonna happen and it won't be any less exciting because of it. Hype is for the kids and casual fans. If you're a real fan and you can see through the trash talk, than thats ok. You still get to see the fight. I don't see the issue.

The WWE type stuff that I do have a problem with is signing fighters for the sake of gimmick like Kimbo Slice and James Toney, while letting legit fighters like Hendo go. Thats the kind of **** that bothers me.

I hear you, I am all for it as long as there is some truth to the anger, like Mayweather-Mosley. They didn't like each other and they didn't necessarily hate each other either, but they made it seem like they did, especially Mayweather.

But bashing deaf people? Even if it's all for show? Hamill can stand up for himself, but people really have to draw the line. I actually enjoyed Tito trash talking his other opponents, like Shamrock lol.

I am all for freedom of speech, but people like Tito have to face the heat. Freedom of speech goes the other way too.
