Exactly: Kov is tailor made for B-Hop...
That's precisely why B-Hop said: "No Need To Face Sergey Kovalev"...
B-Hop is so ****** -- he doesn't have an eye for tailor made fighters...

I believe Stevenson is just as good and dangerous as Kovalev. IMO Hopkins loses to both. Hopkins wont like the speed of Adonis. Stevenson is all around much better than Shumenov. Hes faster, stronger and has more skills. Hopkins has problems against fast fighters and Stevenson is fast. If he cant beat Dawson you never will beat Stevenson.

I don't just mean the fights themselves but the feeling of fighters actually fighting for a legitimacy, the broadcast, etc. All in all Showtime is doing what I've always wanted to see done with boxing.
Well out of Showtime and HBO, I go with HBO. I like the fighters that appear on there more. I watch NBC sports bouts and Unimas. I support some of the local fights here in Philadelphia. I'll catch fights on Box Nation. The network I dont really watch is Showtime. And thats because I'm just not really supportive of GBP, I dont like how they operate - particularly, Haymon. IF i think there is a fight worth watching on PPV I'll order it. Last one was Canelo Angulo and that ended up being a bust.
And I dont think that you're right or wrong in supporting Showtime/GBP. Its basically just different strokes for different folks. Everything aint for everyone. I dont think of one being better than the other. I just happen to favor HBO over Showtime.

And as far as events, Showtime to me, has been putting on better shows.
Or at least has been trying to do so. Their cards are loaded, their main events are decent, and they're building to what could be great fights at the latter end of the year. HBO is giving us a one fight card in May between Marquez and Alvarado. (great fight)
However Showtime last Saturday gave us Malinaggi/Porter and Hopkins vs Shumenov. Next week we have Matthysse and Thurman, granted in seperate bouts, but like I said, they look like it's building to great fights in the fall.
Ok, we'll see how things measure up. As for Malignaggi vs Porter, in the lead-up to the bout, Malignaggi said himself that he's fighting because it's hard to pass up the money. He keeps getting fight offers for some reason. In reality, his best days are behind him, and he can't punch hard. Porter destroyed him. I'm glad you didn't mention Quillin vs Konecny as a good fight, because Quillin clearly plays it safe. He should have gone for the K.O. mid-way through the fight. Hopkins is an old anomaly who fought a self-trained (!), inexperienced, built up fighter in Shumenov. I struggled to stay awake through that. Next week Matthysse, a LWW, is fighting Molina, a LW. Gee, wonder who's going to win that fight? Undefeated slugger Thurman is fighting Diaz, who is coming off of two fresh losses to Khan and Porter. Another gimme fight. To me, the better fights are competitive fights. One-sided mismatches and boring chess match fights are not better fights. Alvarado vs Marquez will be a better fight than Hopkins vs Shumenov, and probably more competitive than the Thurman and Matthysse fights. Too bad Thurman and Matthysse aren't fighting each other.

Fear is fear, whether it's that "Oh ****, why did I take this fight against a prime Iron Mike Tyson!?" fear, or that "Oh ****, if I lose this fight, the big paydays are gonna stop!" fear, or that "Oh ****, if I take a tough fight and lose, I can't retire undefeated!" fear, ya' ass is still scared. How you deal with that fear (fight or flight) defines whether you are a true warrior or a b1tch ass.

Hopkins can beat both Kovalev/Stevenson, they're not that good. The division is just not that great. Just media hype - credit.

Hmm Schafer telling Kovalev to cross the street is odd considering Kovalev wasn't even with HBO when he was Hopkins mandatory and he rejected fight, no?. Weird.
