his legacy will be a 154lber who lost to a 147lber wouldnt fight me.
a crippled lineal champion didnt fight..
and i signed my life away to a network instead of doing deals on a fight by fight basis.
..it is time to move on..if he wanted to be great he would have said i will beat your at butt at 155 canelo no problem..instead he didnt back up his 154-168 talk bc of "but im the mandatory" excuses...idc wat you are you should have scalped him and you know it
im ready to move on from ggg and all these low class fighters..hw division will mkae us forget them really quick..they will be undercard fighters

Now its time to try and establish himself as the top fighter in the game. And in order to do that, he's gonna have to look outside the middleweight division.
BJS' belt gives him much more leverage in negotiating a fight against Canelo...after hearing Oscar talking about a 90/10 split him having every other belt in that division starts to change public opinion in his favor by my estimation. The problem here is the guy is clearly being ducked but public opinion still isn't exactly siding with him (we typically all know exactly why that is). You say he should look outside of the MW division but who? Lara? I still don't think Lara ever actually wanted a piece of that and it's not going to happen much like a jacobs fight will not happen. He's the mandatory to a lineal belt practically for the third time now, I wouldn't gamble that position either.

Yea he ducked Martinez for Cotto, who went on to beat Martinez. And don't forget the fact Martinez said he wouldn't be able to make weight in time before Floyd went to jail.

But let's not talk about Manny ducking Sergio. Told him he'll fight at 150 and when Sergio accepted Manny said 147.

Martinez avoided Pirog and never even tried to fight Sebastian Sylvester or Sturm. After the Paul Williams rematch, Martinez' only focus was to fight Chavez Jr and Mayweather.
Martinez had been putting on shows for years before the KO of paul williams and still incapable of landing a major major fight..only to have the rug pulled out from under him. After the whole WBC being sued drama I don't think Sergio cared about anything else but getting some money and saying "fuuuu to the sport." Yeah they offered 3.5 mill because it's come to that over paying fighters with network money because the network wants the name, K2 themselves aren't going to put that number up without assurance from HBO they will recoup, Dibella would've done the same had he had the option. At least Dibella manned up and honestly said his fighter didn't need any part of that monster and went and took Cotto's offering.

They accomplished what they wanted in those divisions they moved up through...this guy hasn't. Not everyone has the same goals in the sport. I could understand the move up argument if this guy had been in this position in his 20's, he's in his early 30's with a mandatory position...would you be willing to jump and skip the lottery if you had the winning numbers for the next drawing?

Yeah but at this point much talk negotiations are unrealistic it seems arbitrary. BJS' will manage himself NOW, meaning, he just won the belt. No he can brand himself with the WBO and find himself sponsors or endorsements from his mgmt. Thus, he's not going to fight GGG unless the right money is involved, therefore, what's the point talking about it.

That WBO belt doesn't give GGG any negotiating leverage The Canelo fight isn't about the belt, it's about the money. If Cotto told GGG he would fight him tomorrow GGG would take that fight over BJS. How many times does K2, GGG, & Sanchez have to say it's about the money before y'all believe it?
