Again at 155...this a-side vs b-side nonsense needs to end..Canelo is not Mayweather i'm sorry he might be popular but even Floyd wouldn't have the balls to make a mandatory drop weight. Right now Canelo is one side, not an a-side but one side with a mandatory challenger he will have to actually pay in spades to drop down weight much like Mayweather did with him. I love this justification of him having to shift any weight at all, So let me ask you would've been cool with Ward coming down to 164? I highly doubt it but Golovkin is the A-side in that fight by a wide margin. I wasn't cool with it much like I wasn't cool with Canelo dropping weight for Floyd and those weren't lineal mandatory fights. You say he doesn't want the Glory..funny how you can look at the CHUMP in this equation and give him the props but take the guy saying let's fight and call him the chump. They accomplished what they wanted in those divisions they moved up through...this guy hasn't. Not everyone has the same goals in the sport. I could understand the move up argument if this guy had been in this position in his 20's, he's in his early 30's with a mandatory position...would you be willing to jump and skip the lottery if you had the winning numbers for the next drawing?

That's a bull**** excuse. Floyd held four titles, two at 154 and two at 147, fighting Ward or Froch at 168 doesn't mean that ggg will lose his 160 status, just like Floyd never lost his 147 status.

Nobody gave a **** about the sanctity of boxing, and about respecting your opponent, when Golovkin tried to catchweight Ward.

The ONLY difference between those 2 examples is that Ward clearly cannot make 164, which makes the catchweight demand look like nothing but a duck..... and yet, Golovkin recently stated that he can beat anyone at 154.

It is shameful how you guys defend 1 guy and castigate the other.

GGG and Ward are in different divisions.

I'll still call Golovkin the modern day Sergio Martinez...tied to a promoter without the checkbook to make people get over their reservations of fighting him. For all the hate this guy gets the fact they've tried to negotiate with every single belt holder in that division and practically have always gotten a "no" as a response is somehow the fighters fault. Chavez Jr lost the mexican fans because they viewed him as a "puto." One thing mexican fans do not support is cowardice or the perception of it. If he had vacated when he won the strap it would've been fine, people would've chalked it up to him wanting to add Cotto to his resume, holding on to the belt and then dumping it when you can't get your way in negotiations is a whole other situation. Floyd did that after accomplishing everything else he wanted...how fast you part time fans forget that don't you? I'm sure if Golovkin had the same connections as Floyd at the same age he'd be further along but much like many fighters from other countries (which you clearly disregard) they have to pay dues the hard way and he has. Let that man eat, and get his titles. Ward cannot make 168 if so prove it, make it just once. He can't so he won't otherwise he'd be ruling that division.
