Also, this should give you an idea of what Kovalev vs. Ward will do.

I'm guessing that fight will do around 200K if they're lucky.

I hope every PPV bombs to the point they never have them unless it's two huge stars fighting...I'm not buying any GGG or Canelo fight until it's them both in the ring together.
      agree with this statement!

So basically Canelo is good for at least 300k-350k PPV's every time he fights. That's not bad. Can't believe people are saying 300k is a flop when it's double 150k. And add the $10 mil gate is 4x's more than $2 mil gate. Only in these GGG fans minds is this a flop.

NOBODY knew him and he was a big underdog. 300K is damn good like I said double GGG for what was billed at the time as the biggest and best fight of GGG's entire career. This was billed as a showcase fight. a mismatch vs a unknown.
It is more than GGG, but keep in mind the regression here... 900 to 460 to 300. I think it's safe to say that Canelo on his own is pretty much a 300K type of draw. Which is a good figure. But it's obvious the opponents matter. His two previous opponents were Cotto and Khan, big names in boxing.

So it goes back to the whole purse split thing with Golovkin. Based off these numbers, he can't demand 100% of the PPV revenue and just offer a flat fee.

He's a decent draw, but he's no Conor McGregor.

300k against an unknown is what I expected and very good.

300k people paying purely to watch Canelo and 50,000+ in the arena.

There we have it 97k/310k equals to a 30/70 split in Canelos favor.

Seeing people still quote 97k and use that for their argument is ****ing annoying.

So now we've had 2 straight MW ppv's flop. Can these 2 just fight already.

Maybe coka dela fishnets tries to make a Manny fight in May to get the numbers back up.
no chance.. pac already shot that rumor down saying it was hard for him against margarito because of the size different. no way canelo can make 150, and roach will demand a rehydration clause. just no way oscar is gonna agree to these terms because that's the only way pac will even consider fighting canelo.
