Anybody remember "Evander Holyfield's Real Deal Boxing" for the Sega Genesis? That game started it all for me as far as videogame boxing goes... "Legends of the Ring" for the SNES was alright too..

Best Boxing Game?

My first boxing game was Mike Tyson's boxing. It still is today one of my all-time favorite games period. There was a game known as Ringking that was brought out in the 80's that was one of the first simulation type boxing games that I had played for the NES. I call it a simulation because it had a cornerman that you could not control, the ability to improve attributes such as speed, power, and stamina and you were able to watch your fighters progression over a long career. The Sega Genesis era is when I had Buster Douglas boxing as well as Evander's game and Greatest Heavyweights. I loved Greatest Heavyweights and even for a game that is well over 10 years old, it represented its legends way better than Fight Night ever did.

Mike Tyson's Punchout Was The Sickest Boxing Game Ive Ever Played- Until Fight Night Came Along And Then Fn Round2 Comes Out And Thats The Boxing Game Rules All. Every Now And Then I Take Out The Nintendo And Play Punchout And That Speaks Volumes On What Kind Of Game That Is.

I voted Fight Night 2004, but there will ALWAYS be a place in my heart for Punch Out and Super Punch Out.

there was another game that was very good. I can't remember the title exactly but it was something like victorious boxing or something. Anyways, the only flaw was that it looked cartoonish, but other than that it is the best game out there.
