Same bullish where I live... regulations apparently, health and safety or whatever. Ain't covered if they get an injury. They flat out won't take it if they think it's too heavy but they won't even let you put it on the truck yourself cos of the insurance or whatever. I mean don't get me wrong, I'm all for safe working conditions an all that but fucked if I don't miss the old days when you could just be sensible about stuff.

My town has trash trucks with a trash can lift on the side. We also got nice heavy duty trash and recycle cans with wheels and an attached lid given to us from the trash company a couple years ago. We use to have a once a year trash week where you could put out big stuff like old mattresses and sheeit. It took too long to clear it all up so now we can put big stuff out anytime. I have wonderful trash men. I give them cold drinks on hot days if I'm home on Thursday mornings. They never leave loose trash and always put the cans back where they got them.

Just because I don't agree with your radical racist buddies and their radical conspiracy theories like white privilege, institutional racism, systemic racism, CRT, 1619 project, etc... doesn't mean I hate all black folks. I just hate those clowns. I like good black folks.

Man, don't you hate when you think you got that perfect amount in the bag, and then it turns out to be too heavy and the bag rips like half way, spilling **** out and leaving you in that limbo of holding the bag so **** doesn't spill out but not really able to grab another bag without the hole getting bigger and everything spilling out??? A lot of these sanitation departments have strong unions. In NYC they had weight restrictions and your trash better be on the curb and in approved cans. I've seen some of them leave pales behind because they were too heavy. Here where I live, they barely even get out of the truck, it has a mechanical arm that lifts the pale and dumps into into the top of the truck. They will get out when there is something bulk that cannot fit into a trash can, it's put into a bin attached to the arm and up it goes. They are not busting there asses here.
