there's probably a limit that they're expected to not pick up. if you had to pick up a 50 or 100 lb trash bin to waist height at every house you'd be burnt out from that job in months. you'd hardly walk.

that said, they usually don't pick up the bin anyway. they grab the bags one at a time. and no garbage bag is that heavy. they'll just break.
