You, among others, cite costs and resource issues. Shipping them is political grandstanding to score points with the base. It doesn’t help solve the problem in any way.

Illegals can’t vote. What is tipping the state is something you and others talk about in other threads- people leaving Northern states post Covid.

Just because they migrated south doesn’t mean they changed their political beliefs to match those in the South.

Stop the fake trolling BS to signal Jaded in hopes he bans me like he did Robbie.

The tweet you posted was an overreaction caused by omitting key words.

This appears to be a temporary housing situation done to prevent potential loss of life.

As the above article shows, as far back as May of 2023 NYC officials began discussing the plan to put migrants in schools gyms.

While your point about homeless people is fair, to suggest this just all the sudden happened is not honest.

Yes it does matter. If it were 100 nights your outrage would be valid. That its one night because of a storm is an over reaction.

What would you have the NYC government do differently in this situation given the context?

Why are these illegals here in the first place? ***** is letting them in. We've already seen ********s who are calling for allowing them to vote. This is why AOC and many other radicals are pushing for amnesty and a path to citizenship.

Jaded didn't get Robbie banned, Robbie did it to himself. I know you're not accustomed to accountability, it's easier to blame others for your behaviors. But you are trolling if you think that the immigration crisis is blown out of proportion and there isn't an agenda behind it.

It's not an overreaction. You've built an immunity to corruption from your party, so you see this as normal or no big deal. The resources spent and committed to put them up in this school must be in the hundreds of thousands. Too bad the city doesn't bring that same energy for it's own homeless.

They didn't belong in this country, in a temporary shelter or anywhere else except for where they came from.

I would argue that while it may not solve the problem, it does force the intentionally ignorant to acknowledge the problem. That is the first step.

Who said the border news was fake? I haven’t seen any poster doubt illegals are coming into America over the southern border.

The only dispute I saw came about because you weren’t aware of how big a percentage of visa overstays were of the total number of illegals.
you are always making excuses.. just on the other thread you was saying twitter is not a valid source and that there is no migrant issues at the border.

Leave them on the street the same way they do American citizens who are homeless. No one told them to come here. Don't make them feel welcome here. Instead they are all getting off the bus wearing new clothes, the women are all fat and well-fed, and we roll out the red carpet for them. Hotels are already booked to capacity with illegals at a cost of $400 per night. Tax payers are flipping the bill whether you live there or not, federal grants and leftover COVID relief money is going towards catering to illegals.

********s are pushing for ways to allow them vote. This is a way of buying their votes.

Adams and other New York ********s pushed President Joe ***** to expedite work authorizations for them.

They said it’s about making migrants self-sufficient. Maybe, but Dems have another powerful motive.

The fine print of New York City’s “Our City, Our Vote” law, enacted in December 2021, says anyone with a work authorization who has been in the city for a mere 30 days can vote, even if that person entered the country illegally.

fast-tracking work authorizations for Venezuelan border crossers, who make up about 41% of the Big Apple’s recent arrivals, will make tens of thousands of them eligible to vote under city law, as soon as they obtain their working papers.

That is, if New York City’s voting law is allowed to go into effect.

A big “if.” The law is tied up in court.

A group of **********s led by Staten Island Borough President Vito Fossella sued, arguing the state Constitution grants the right to vote to “every citizen.”

A Staten Island judge bought that argument and struck down the law, but arguing the state Constitution does not specifically prohibit noncitizens from voting.

Adams has a shot at winning.

Vermont’s top court ruled in favor of allowing noncitizens to vote in municipal elections, even though the Vermont Constitution restricts voting in state elections to US citizens.

California and Maryland also already permit municipalities to enfranchise noncitizens.

The Boston City Council is debating allowing newcomers to vote, including migrants who recently came across the border illegally and have temporary protected status. Keep up with today's most important news

In Washington, DC, ********s rammed through a local law in November 2022 allowing noncitizens, even foreign-embassy employees, to vote, as long as they’ve resided in the city for 30 days.

In Connecticut, ********s want to amend the state’s Constitution to allow noncitizens to vote in state and local elections.

They are here because border patrol is not doing their jobs. They are also here because of visa overstays.

Pathway to citizenship has been discussed for many years, primarily for those that have been here for a while working and paying taxes. That is reasonable imo.

It is disingenuous to act as if they want illegals that just got here to immediately become citizens.

Where did I post that? No, unlike you and other far right posters, I don’t see an agenda everywhere. That is just your go to line.

In this case it is, given the context. How much would the resources be if they were left outside in the storm and they had to be saved?

The city spends significant resources on homeless shelters.

Got it- we agree they do not. But they got shipped here. so what would you do in this situation?

I think the majority is well aware of the issue.

I think a better first step should be an honest discussion of the issue- why illegals continue to come here to find work in America and how their work impacts costs of food, construction etc.

Grandstanding to score points with the base doesn’t help.

I answered your question directly. That isn’t an excuse.

I have never said there are no migrant issues at the border.

Twitter is not always a valid source because there is no fact checking.

                      We can end this here.
