It's just dumb fucks talking out their ass. You think the Mexican Cartels will just tell a random dumb ass their whereabouts, past murders, or future plans? If that were the case, they'd all be in jail with hundreds of charges...

Truth is, nobody knows shit, and should **** their mouths before they get taken out for being some gossiping hoes.

Sometimes I wish they'd bump into an actual cartel member and give their bullshit stories/information without realizing who they're talking to. Just for the lulz...

I wonder how they'd take it?

Thing is, Cartels and Hitmen actually tell their deeds through music by "contracting" popular singers to write a song for them. In fact, the cartel members themselves will read the lyrics word by word and will have to approve it before it can be recorded... so if you listen to the songs and pay attention to the news, you can actually be quite informed on what's going on in that lifestyle.

Also, corridos have always talked about drugs and kingpins. Before Hip Hop and "gangster rap" was conceived, Corridos were prominent in Mexico's countryside for many decades. Just because they dont rhyme words over heavy drums and looping instrumentals doesn't exclude them from being considered "hard core street music/real music".

Sigh.. the fact remains, ***** is very ignorant.

          Exactly.

Anyone who actually lived in mexico knows this for a fact and know you cant play certain corridos in certain areas or get killed.

My parents are from San Nicolas De Los Garza, Nuevo Len....and I've never heard of anyone getting killed for playing "certain corridos" that's just plain bullshit. Truth is, unless you're involved with any of the cartels, you have nothing to worry about.

It's not bull****. Just like people will get shot for wearing the wrong colors in certain neighborhoods, if you go around driving in Culiacan blasting corridos about the CDG or La Familia Michoacana, you're asking for trouble. If you drive around this area of Mexico blasting corridos about Los Zetas, people WILL notice.

I personally have to check blogs to update myself on the current situation in Mexico. I live across Matamoros which is the homebase of the Gulf Cartel and I go there every week or other week. Gotta know what the atmosphere is to know when to cross or not.

We dont listen to that crap, so i guess we are fine. We mostly listen to Los Invasores, Los Cadetes, Cachorros, and Ramon Ayala. Narco corridos are wack, to be honest...
