As in, if it didn't have the effect alcohol has, would you drink it anyway (if you do drink either or both)? I like certain alcoholic drinks, but pretty much every time I've tried any kind of wine or beer, it ain't been pleasant. I mostly can't imagine drinking them to just enjoy them. If g**** juice had the same effect as g**** wine, and I had a choice, I'd definitely be drinking some g**** juice. For instance.

That is generally something kids say.
However much like the ironically named "adult film industry", alcoholism consists mostly of teenagers & twenty-somethings.
Then you hit 30... You're all adulted up with your whiskey & nude calender & biker jacket...
And people are like "What are you, 14? Sober up."Last edited by ////; 04-14-2020, 08:34 AM.

I used to like beer, Blue Moon with an orange slice was my favorite. Wine though is nasty as F! Wine is what actually made me quit drinking (16 months so far). I was already getting tired of drinking/hangovers and i pounded a bottle of wine 1 night, i woke up feeling HORRIBLE. Havent drank or looked back since.
Alcohol is really bad for you though, its poison really.

A cold beer with the condensation on the outside of the glass is nice to most I would think.
That said if you're a proper Englishman you could enjoy ale at room temperature in a freezing pub garden.
I think that's an ancestral throw back to the olden days when our forefathers kids and babies alike would drink ale because the water would kill them.
Imagine that? Being drunk all the time.
My favourite public health crisis of all time was when I think it was the eighteenth century was the Gin Epidemic.
It started being imported from France and then eventually was made here because we kept warring with France.
Anyway, we liked Gin. Had no idea about alcohol by volume back then.
People were drinking PINTS of Gin.
People literally dying in the streets.
I feel like this is why generally English people don't like drinking games like Americans.
We like forfeits.
You make mistake. That's a quadruple shot of gin.
Good night, sweet prince.

The wife and I enjoy a nice cold beer most nights after we put the kids down for the night. We dont really do wine but dont mind it paired with a nice dinner and what not. Our beer of choice is usually a thick quadruple abbey style ale or a stout, mostly barrel aged stuff...so yea,we enjoy the "buzz",who doesnt, but the taste as well.
