Fact is Moreno does bring in a lot of risk for Donaire. And, fights are won in the ring not on paper.

Would Donaire take the risk? I don't know. Would I love him to? Of course. Should he take a Moreno fight? Legacy wise, yes. Business wise maybe not.
he can get the same against the winner of agbeko-mares and more money at that. moreno should get better handlers and promoters if he likes to get the big fights.

Donaire needs to fight Chemito. To prove that he can beat a taller fighter. Then fight the winner of the Showtime Tournament then move up.

But, if Mares is the winner the fight will never happen. So there is no point ot say the winner of the fight. Because, of the silly GBP-TR feud.

No need to monopolize the sport either. Again, Donaire knows who he is that is why he's playing the "who's Moreno" card. Unless TR was Moreno promoter Donaire won't have any intention of facing Moreno. Because, of Donaire own words "nobody cares about Anselmo" Too risky not enough reward.

And, is not like Moreno is comercially sellable, he doesn't have what some would called a fan friendly style. Even though I like watching him. Since I like and respect the sweet science of the sport. Doesn't have true power, doesn't speak English. Like I said big time promoter wouldn't really help him.

Legacy wise Donaire should fight Moreno. Business wise he shouldn't. Everything else is just excuses in order not to make the fight happen.

Of course you can, what stalled his career was the choice he made in going to top rank. What stalled his career is the choice he made in not going after fights. And, top rank had some top good fights. And, his kind of doing the same now with "nobody cares about Anselmo" quote. Is like his going to average 1 big win every 3 years.

Donaire should've done what Moreno did, travel to other countries and fight their champions. I did not like that he wasted time, fought bums, and complained constantly that Vic, whom he already dominated, was ducking him. Donaire was lucky that Montiel gave him a shot, because he did not really deserve it. Moreno deserves this big money fight more than Donaire deserved the Montiel fight.

I would say Raul Martinez was fairly worthy at the time and is actually a pretty good fighter

Agree with you man. If you think about it Donaire didn't really deserve that fight with Montiel. If it was based on pure boxing rules without popularity and promoter business then Moreno or the 1 Contenders for either WBO or WBC should have faced Montiel. He shouldn't be playing the "who is this" card because to be honest who was he when Montiel got matched up with him.

Now, Donaire play nice and play fair give Moreno a chance at the limelight. He isn't a bum and people know him. This I think is better for him legacy wise and boxing fans/experts debate where to put Donaire in the best Bantamweight scale of greatness then there will be no question he is one of the top boxers. Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez, and Manny Pacquiao all have their legacies secured in the Featherweight and Super Featherweight divisions. No one can take it away from them. Nonito Donaire only fought twice in the Bantamweight division people can't really say he is the best in that division.

Anyway, I'm thinking too much. Moreno vs Donaire is a good fight to keep them both busy. I think at the end of 2011 WV2 can happen and why shouldn't it but after Moreno vs Donaire. If Agbeko wins Donaire should fight that guy for undisputed Bantamweight champion plus Moreno. These fights are doable.

Just saw Donaire on the news and he said he wants the Moreno fight. He said he wants to be the undisputed champ. Don't know what Arum is gonna do but at least it's good to know that Donaire wants it. Should be a great win for him if he pulls it off

the fight with moreno should happen, but moreno is gonna have to take a really small purse cause he is unknown.
