Donaire was lucky that Montiel gave him a shot, because he did not really deserve it. Moreno deserves this big money fight more than Donaire deserved the Montiel fight.

He tried to make a fight with the Komedas, but their handlers think they're still raw to fight Nonito at that time. Maldonado was still a pretty decent boxer when Nonito TKO'd him, and Donaire had a bit of trouble with highly rated Mthalane, plus Raul Martinez as was previously mentioned by Eaner0919 here...

koki is the youngest kameda. hes 24. nonito was and has been considered the best fighter in the lower weights for some time. calling out the kamedas when they are basically teenagers...really? u shouldnt use that as a defense. and yea a few of the flyweights were good. great?? no. they are smaller and there wre much better fighters out there that he could have fought.

No need to monopolize the sport either. Again, Donaire knows who he is that is why he's playing the "who's Moreno" card. Unless TR was Moreno promoter Donaire won't have any intention of facing Moreno. Because, of Donaire own words "nobody cares about Anselmo" Too risky not enough reward.

And, is not like Moreno is comercially sellable, he doesn't have what some would called a fan friendly style. Even though I like watching him. Since I like and respect the sweet science of the sport. Doesn't have true power, doesn't speak English. Like I said big time promoter wouldn't really help him.

Legacy wise Donaire should fight Moreno. Business wise he shouldn't. Everything else is just excuses in order not to make the fight happen.
my point is what degree of risk does moreno brings that the winner of mares-agbeko doesn't? it's totally understandable if moreno is not on top of his list. and it's true though...who is moreno in terms of fanbase and the business side of boxing? maybe that's what donaire is talking about. and even if donaire wants to fight him, arum would probably discourage him from doing so. it happens in boxing all the time...promoters have a big influence in matching up fighters. and then some fans would say donaire ducked moreno which is likely to happen if the don't end up fighting each other. it's ****** but it is what it is.

from what i remember he didn't sign up with top rank right away because he waited for his promotional contract with shaw to expire. and i think he still fought under shaw after darchinyan but what he got was ****ty matchups that he just accepted to honor the contract and get over with it.

you keep on repeating that "nobody cares about anselmo...did he really say that? care for a link to that ****?

He wants to fight Moreno next. Hopefully the fight gets made.

]"Donaire is now ready to face WBA title holder Anselmo Moreno of Panama."
"It's a good matchup because Moreno is a good fighter. His record is good and he hasn't been beaten."...according to Donaire
              .

that should end all this "nobody cares about anselmo" bull**** theory.

nonito aint got no reason to not wanna fight moreno.....it aint as risky fight as the montiel and beating him would get him want he wants, which is to unify more belts....he should stick to what he said and fighting moreno justifies that!

Donaire is a true warrior and will fight anyone you put in front of him. This guy loves the sport and not making it just for a living. He wants to have his own legacy. Go fight the top dogs and clean up 118-126. I hope Scumbag Arum will not get on his way in doing such.

Donaire is a breath of fresh air in the lower weights. We knew he was good but it's like this fight just cemented that thinking. Isn't it funny that we can go "where are the stars", "where are the big fights" and in just one fight we get Donaire and a bunch of fights we want to see. Makes boxing great. Things change quickly for the good and sometimes for the bad but it keeps you on the edge of your seat.

I just wanted to spit on Arum's face after seeing the Top Rank post-fight interview. He wasn't excited about Nonito becoming the undisputed champion but instead wants him to move up and move up until he faces Lopez.
