Stevenson, Mayweather, Andre Dirrell, Broner are giving us brothers a bad name. straight punk @ssed *****es, ducking fights all the time, taking the easy road and not fighting their main competitors.

As for more money, seems Showtime is gonna pay him more to fight bhop. HBO decided not to match that figure for him to fight KKK.

We can agree Stevenson has not been keen on fighting KKK. But signing with all haymon shouldn't prevent HBO from matching the offer he got from Showtime to make this fight.
He chose agnew as a result of Stevenson turning him down. If he didnt turn him down, he would be fighting Stevenson next instead. Its not a hard concept to grasp

Again stop bringing up haymon and showtime, this has nothing to do with what im referring to, which is Stevenson turning down a more lucrative offer to fight kovalev. THis completely predates haymon and showtime.

Haymon knows HBO really likes Kovalev and he's not going to let them use his client to promote their fighter. They had a deal prior to AD hiring Haymon.
Yea its a **** fight but directly as a result of Stevenson turning him down. He didnt turn down stevenson to fight agnew

HBO had right of first refusal. They chose not to match the offer Stevenson got from Showtime. They are just as much at fault.

We all want the best fights. The question is what is the real reason we are not getting them? If you want to see these fights tell Herschman to work with fighters managed by all Haymon.
When Kovalev was calling out Stevenson near the end of 2013, Stevenson was saying he wants Bhop next. Sure, he talked a little **** about facing Kovalev, but as I recall, he didn't seem serious. This was his plan all along. If it is in fact true that Stevenson wouldn't guarantee he'd fight Kovalev down the road (and I can totally see that), I can see why HBO wouldn't match Showtime's offer. Stevenson thinks he's going to gain fame and fortune if he can beat 49 year old Hopkins? Maybe, but the opportunity to really blow up lies with him defeating Kovalev. The bottom line is, Adonis is afraid a defeat at the hands of Sergey would sideline his career. A chance to beat famous old man Hopkins is safer. Once again, the fans are denied their wish to see the best fights.

Fair points. But hbo's plan was both fighters take setup blowouts then fight each other. Then Stevenson gets haymon and then they refuse to match. That's be.

Hbo wanted to get 3 fights out of these 2. They needed to Fill dates since they don't work with GBP. There greed is as much the problem as anything.

THat was not HBOs plan, they wanted the fight right away That was stevensons plan and HBO cant force you to fight. They already had their tune up/set up fights on their last card.

There should be no one defending these moves for either network. It should disgust all fans. Im so sick of people bickering over networks and defending promoters.

There are no winners here. It doesnt matter if HBO is as slimy as Showtime. The sport is suffering and because fanboys have to defend their turf, they help things circle the drain faster.

Perhaps the business aspect of boxing is more complicated than fans realize. But this fight could have been made before it got to this point. Either Stevenson or his promoters didn't want a Kovalev fight.

There is winning........ And for us the better match is BHOP for Stevenson since BHOP is the most skilled opponenet available.....

Secondly why is Kovalv this big bad boogeyman after beating nobodies and eurobums, do yall so called boxing fans know what hype jobs is

Lastly Stevenson should get no shade whatsoever, being that BHOP is the more proven fighter, the better fighter, and Stevenson's biggest available pay day............

Yall need to chill and cut the hyperbole out
