The well-known manager Finkel advises caution in the management of the new WBC champion

It is very interesting interview with the manager of the staff new champion WBC heavyweight Deontay Wilder (33-0, 32KO) the expert Shelly Finkel.

Elected Manager of the Year award in 1990 and in 1993, Finkel, has managed champions like Evander Holyfield, Pernell Whitaker, Meldrick Taylor, Mike McCallum, Alex Ramos, Mike Tyson and Manny Pacquiao and said Tuscaloosa news:

    - Deontay is still very inexperienced. It was his first major fight that we have to handle it with Stiverne and bene.Oggi they offered $ 10 million to fight Povetkin in Russia but we will say that now is not the momento.Facciamo do have a couple of match with valid elements, the boy , then we will begin to think of great things .The project is to develop the technical skills and physical Wilder just like you would any other athlete. A challenge with the unbeaten Tyson Fury? And 'possible but at the end of 2015-
    ooook? very informative article.

He wouldn't even get close to that for a unification with Wladimir!

The money is in Moscow! He will do well to get 1/10th of that fighting any other fighter but Wladimir.
This is why I respect Stiverne, 1 mill and he'd of boarded the next plane over to Russia!
Don't forget: Stiverne was fuckin' ill in the fight night...

... because of those $10 million, maybe?
... but, nevermind, Wilder is after his "legacy", not after the money, right?

Where the hell do you suppose he's going to make $10m?

I can see why they turned it down but that's a ****load of money

By fighting who? What other HW is going to generate anywhere near that kind of money? He could fight Fury, Haye & Wladimir and maybe not see that kind of money.

They are also talking as if Wilder is still a prospect.

I'm not a Wilder fan, I'm not going to make excuses for any fighter. I simply get the thinking.

My view on these matters will never change; in my opinion the champion should not be travelling to the other fighters country to defend his belt, unless it's a unification against a bigger draw.
