I thought it was pretty common etiquette to tip drivers since they use their car, gas, and save you time. But I talk to this guy I hoop with who does delivery as part time since his hours got cut and he said a lot of people are non tippers.
Big businesses became very smart and found another way to screw the common man. You pay such a low wage that people depend on the kindness of others to earn a wage. When you do not tip the driver, he is not making money. I am a generous tipper and have decided not to use these delivery services, they are a ripoff.

Used to be that some restaurants provided delivery. Your extra charge was to tip the driver, no big deal. These services gouge you, and you pay a premium that is not worth it.

My point is: If I feel I cannot afford a restaurant, or don't want to pay a premium because some middle man found a way to pick my pocket, I just stay away from these services/places. I won't go to a restaurant and skimp... There is no shame in this. Food has become very expensive. I don't eat out anymore much.

Great point. This is absolutely true.

I always tip, even when they really don't deserve it sometimes.

Lol I tip the same percentages and my friend try to get me to tip 20% at restaurant but my reasoning is I only order 1 meal and dont bother the waiter for anything else

When Im eating and drinking at the bar I do tip 20% because the bartender got to be attentive when I need more beer

Yup my buddy said the worst are grocery pick up. I think he does doordash. Anyway he gets paid 5 bucks by doordash to drive, deliver, and carry 9 grocery bags up 3 stories apartment building only for the customer to leave a big fat zero tip.

I just cant understand these people that order delivery for convenience and service but got no common sense to tip lol

That's the danger....... when I'm drunk I tend to throw money at people..... I gave a waiter ?00 once and he broke down in tears lol

In general though I stick to the 10%, a couple pounds here&there.

Imagine ordering stuff at the top of a high-riser or a 20-story building....... then not tipping!?

                    Those people are scum, honestly.

It could be a lack of empathy. it is sad for sure.
