Pacman forced Arum to be B side and to give in to all the demands of Floyd and Haymon to make it happen after 6 yrs! 50/50 split will not do it at this time for Crawford vs Spence with 500K estimated PPV.

regardless of how you feel about who won the fight....the fans still wanted a rematch...more than they want wilder/breazeale and fury/shwarz....by a longshot...the world thought they were getting it...wilder thought he was negotiating it....2 of the top 3 heavies going at it again

and bob swooped in and killed it....so if you were cool with that you cant complain about spence not fighting Crawford right now....at least spence has some very good options...better than fury is doing....fury swerved the fight to fight Schwarz....spence can fight porter...and then thurman or danny......spence has options

Crawford resigned with TR fully knowing what the landscape looked like......bob would be doing the exact same thing if he were in haymons shoes...bobs just crying cause the shoe is on the other foot and haymon has more talent to work with

stop crying about the ills of the sport...we know its flawed and it sucks...we can keep repeating it over and over and it does NOTHING....so just accept Crawford is in a crap spot and spence isn't....

the problem in the scenario though is wilder doesn't even care about fury now....wilder is trending upwards even without him.....Crawford is going to level out and or maybe even take a dip without the pbc guys
Strictly in a sporting sense Wilder doesn't have a more promising future than Crawford. If he takes a Joshua payday he'll make more money in that fight, sure but outside of it? Wilder is 33 and over reliant on athleticism. His power benefits greatly from it but he's never going to improve as a boxer and once the athleticism dips he won't have much to fall back on. Crawford is technically and has great IQ.

He also has options. If Spence beats Thurman and Porter (which I am totally fine him taking those fights first as they are easier to make and beat) the demand for a Crawford fight will be there and he'll be cornered the way you felt Joshua was (regarding Wilder) and him moving up or putting more obstacles up won't be a good look. Crawford can still potentially have fights that can grow like Ramirez, Prograis, Taylor, perhaps Lopez is a welterweight in 2-3 years? Wilder won't have those options as long as Joshua is the man because he's the most respected fighter, highest ranked fighter and by far biggest draw in the division so everyone will gravitate to where he is which will be DAZN.

Crawford will rank far ahead of Wilder in an all-time ranking of pound for pound. He has far better history, far more talent, far more boxing IQ and a far better future. Wilder can become richer in one fight though if he takes it.

I agree with you 100%, but tribalism this is not.

I think you are using the wrong word here.

I actually agree with you here Curt. I thought the first 6 rounds were tight and pretty even. Then Fury outboxed Wilder for basically every moment in the last 6 but Wilder had the two KDs which negated the good work Fury did.

Can you post that picture of you again from the Super Bowl btw?

Don’t matter who’s at fault this time or the last time or who will be to blame the next time. At the end of the day, it’s always the same bull**** with boxing. This is why the sport is and has been falling off for years. Hand to hand combat is a beautiful thing but the politics are too much to bare.

chris...let me preface this by saying you do this a lot....you constantly take my point and change it and stray from it and make it something it never was...ive always though you were smart enough ...so im guessing you might feel that you don't have a real argument and have to change context to make one

so I didn't say wilder had a more promising future...I said wilder simply isn't worried about fury anymore and needing him....bob figured if he pulled fury away it would send them into a panic...but wilder is trending anyway and they aren't worried about life sans fury...that was my point.....I never compared wilder/Crawford skill wise as you seem to want to....

but bob seems to be in a bit of a panic about Crawford....he has to pay him good money...and he had to pay khan more to get him for an opponent...and the future, without a pbc guy across from him, looks weak....it means overpaying opponents and plateau for Crawford....I wasn't comparing wilder/Crawford directly

not once did I ever try to compare resumes or legacies or skills...and that was evident...but somehow you felt the need to take it there...youre either very dumb or had to change context because you needed to defend your "wall"

lol@"if he takes it"....of course wilder is going to take it......but wilder wants it in vegas with American ppv money....which makes most money for everyone....yet hearn and skipper haven't mentioned that once! wilder isn't afraid to wait now

hearns two offers were doubled by skipper...but skipper still wouldn't agree to do it split with American ppv and in vegas(which everyone knows makes the most)....so as you can clearly see its actually skipper that needs the fight where it makes less money as long as its on his watch

you cant honestly think wilder would never take that fight....youre even more crazy and dumb than im starting to think you are

but my post was never about comparing wilder/Crawford.....just their current situations

wilder isn't concerned that fury is avoiding the rematch....but you can bet bob is concerned he cant get a pbc for Crawford.......if bob was real hyped about fighting prograis, taylor or even lopez down the line than he wouldn't be saying the outlandish BS hes saying about race now and calling haymon something every week lol
